I don’t know if i’m gonna make many friends saying this but the truth is important so i’m gonna roll with it. My personal feeling is that 90% of MCs out there just ain’t all that. Yeah they can rhyme and get a little tricky with the wordplay, but for me, that’s just entry level skills. I’m all about that next level ish…the kinda styles that make you buzz when you hear them….and rewind the verse so you can hear them again. Jay Electronica is one of those MCs, so I was more than excited to see this video preview of a link up with Just Blaze entitled ‘Dear Moleskine’. Shot on location at the Bodinath Buddhist Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal in association with The Dogon Society and Decon, the video is proof that not only is Jay exceptionally gifted as a rapper, but he’s also got a spiritual foundation/appreciation…we like that…..
